Microsoft has integrated this product into the Windows operating system as a means to standardise the way people use their computer. The design was to enable users to access the web from anywhere within the windows system through any program. The web tool bar is available in all applications using the standard windows convention simply by activation through the tools menu.

There are three main parts to the Microsoft Internet Explorer screen.
Below the title bar, is the menu bar, then the tool bar and then the address bar.
Below the address bar is the display area for the web location, then below the display area is the status bar.
The title bar and menu bar are simular to normal windows screens.
However the tool bar possesses a few alterations worth mentioning.
